What Do We Do?
In group lessons and with individual instruction, campers will develop their skateboarding skills through a linear, methodical curriculum that starts with the basics, with emphasis on inclusivity, personal development, and teamwork. More advanced participants will have the opportunity to be mentored by our team of instructors to push their skating to the next level.
Beyond skateboarding, summer camp appeals to kids' sense of adventure with trips throughout the week to different skateparks, as well as film-making, games, giveaways, ramp-building, skateboard art, and tons more!
During lunchtime and through the day, we hold group discussions about how the lessons learned through skateboarding can positively effect on our lives; developing healthy self-esteem, fostering resilience and determination, and being advocates for equality are things we can carry with us beyond the skate park.
What Makes Us Different?
We help campers understand healthy social skills and emotional well-being through skateboarding, as well as positive ways of dealing with frustration and developing confidence on and off the board.
Camp participants can thrive in a safe and friendly learning environment where they can explore skating and explore what it has to offer. Impact promotes healthy lifestyles while working to demonstrate a sense of community and responsibility through the lens of skateboarding.
What Do I Need?
No skateboarding experience is required!
Campers will need a skateboard and helmet. While knee/elbow pads are highly recommended, we will supply equipment for those who need to borrow it—just indicate what you need on the registration form. When you're ready to purchase gear, you can take a look at our Parent FAQ for information on what to buy and where to go.
